UrWrench wasn't designed in a boardroom or dreamed up by a software company looking for a new market. It was built by someone who has walked the plant floor, fixed the breakdowns, and dealt with the same problems you face every day.
The Story Behind UrWrench
UrWrench started the way a lot of good tools do — out of frustration. We were working in manufacturing maintenance, juggling spreadsheets, whiteboards, and sticky notes to keep track of work orders, PM schedules, and spare parts inventory. The systems that existed were either too expensive, too complicated, or too dependent on a constant internet connection that our plant floor simply didn't have.
Cloud-based CMMS platforms wanted $50 to $150 per user per month. They required dedicated IT support, weeks of onboarding, and an internet connection that would drop every time someone ran the welder — if there was even a signal to begin with. Half the plant was a dead zone. Techs in basements, on mezzanines, and inside utility tunnels had zero connectivity. Meanwhile, all they needed was a straightforward way to log work, track PMs, and look up parts — without fighting the software or hunting for a WiFi signal.
So we built our own. UrWrench was designed from day one to run on a local network, install on a standard Windows PC, and get out of the way so maintenance teams can focus on keeping equipment running. No subscriptions. No cloud dependency. No feature bloat designed to impress executives who never set foot on the floor.
Today, UrWrench is used by manufacturing plants that value simplicity, reliability, and ownership. We keep building it the same way we started — by listening to the people who actually do the work.

Manufacturing plants are full of dead zones where WiFi and cellular signals can't reach — and your techs work in all of them. UrWrench runs entirely on your local network, so every corner of the plant has full access. No cloud servers, no signal hunting, no blank screens in the basement.
